⚡ We are hiring a SENIOR PRIVATE EQUITY AML OFFICER, M/F, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in COMPLIANCE.
You will join the asset management division of a prestigious banking group in Luxembourg.
- Fixed-Term Contract : 6 months
- Salary: 60 to 70K€ gross/13 months, + bonus + benefits
Role:
- Work in very close collaboration with the Compliance team based in Luxembourg and other members of the Private Equity team in Geneva.
- Drafting and review of internal KYC/AML procedures dedicated to our Private Equity Funds (in compliance with applicable laws and regulations)
- Provide active support to limited partners investing in our Private Equity Funds as part of the on-boarding process (account opening, request for documents to be collected, verification of those documents, etc.)
- Conduct initial and ongoing due diligence reviews on existing and new limited partners, including KYC/AML identification, and store the relevant documents in our dedicated tool
- Conduct initial and on-going due diligence reviews on all investments made by our Private Equity Funds (either direct investments in private companies or indirect investments in underlying private equity funds), including KYC/AML identification, and store the relevant documents in our dedicated tool
- Complete compliance documents (including KYC/AML) in relation to limited partners and private equity investments and ensure such documents are always complete and up-to-date
- Complete and provide the relevant documents that are requested by the investee funds.
- Perform screening and verification of limited partners and private equity investments against sanction / black-lists More generally, identify, analyze and report any potential risks or issues linked to financial crime
- Proactively participate in the review of the KYC/AML risk tolerance and risk assessment of our Private Equity Funds (in close collaboration with the RC and the RR of such funds)
- Actively monitor any changes of laws and regulations impacting your day-to-day activities
- Further enhance internal / external reporting capabilities in relation to the activities and controls performed (including KPIs)
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Conducting Officer in charge of Compliance within the Management Company and will work in very close collaboration with the Private Equity team currently based in Geneva.
Profile:
- University degree in Law, Finance, or training/experience deemed equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, having worked very closely with private equity teams
- Strong understanding of KYC/AML laws and regulations applicable to Private Equity Funds in Luxembourg; good knowledge of other applicable laws and regulations (in particular FATCA, CRS; Data Protection)
- Highly motivated with a “can do” attitude
- Meticulous in your approach to work and highly organized
- Very strong communication and negotiation skills both internally (with our Private Equity team) and externally (with our limited partners, private equity investments and third-party providers)
- Capacity to systematically review and improve existing processes
- Strong experience with research tools such as Dow Jones or World Check
- Experience in working in close collaboration with colleagues based in Luxembourg and abroad in a project-oriented environment
- Fluent in English, preferably also in French
- Solution driven and mindful of commercial challenges, able to apply risk based approach, including certain level of flexibility and a sense of priorities.
